When Justine first reached out to us, she was hoping to book with me (Danya), but I was unavailable on their wedding day. She decided to then book with Raven, and for that I'm so thankful for. I still got to be a part of their wedding day in a smaller way. This is a classic scenario where I really wish I could clone myself and be at two places at once because I truly wished I could've been there myself. I got the opportunity to photograph their engagement session and instantly, the three of us clicked like old friends. This only made it so much harder that I wasn't able to be at their wedding day! But like me, you can experience their day through their wedding photos!
Justine and Andrew tied the knot at the Mettler Family Vineyards in Lodi California and it was every vineyard wedding dream! The property was perfectly planned with long stretches of vinery and the cutest little lake and fountain. Their day started with the two getting ready with their closest friends. Justine had arrived on the property hours earlier with her girl friends to get their hair and makeup done by Hazel Skye while Andrew slept in and got ready at a hotel nearby. The two didn't want to see one another before the ceremony, so Raven had to ensure the two didn't bump into one another accidentally beforehand!
It was a pretty bright and warm day, so the ceremony location was perfectly shaded to keep everyone cool during the ceremony. The two were surrounded by a family rooted in faith as Justine's father officiated their ceremony through prayer and a short sermon. They had a symbolic ceremony many know as the Unity Sand. Just like how the sand can no longer be separated, neither will these two. They ended the ceremony with an honoring of the parents as they embraced their parents with joy.
After the ceremony, Raven took the two out to the vineyards where there was the most glorious golden hour that as photographers, we wish would last forever! But alas, the sun set and it was back to the party where everyone enjoyed the rest of the night!
Words from the groom: "Our relationship has so much love, laughter, and even sacrifice, that we knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together."
